North South East And West - This is a song about hope and helping others find their way through hard times. A couple of songs on this album has to do with depression. We’ve had family and friends go through some scary bouts of depression. It’s such a helpless feeling trying to help someone who is going through hell. That’s what it is, hell on earth. Most of the people we know are to embarrassed to find help from family and friends, let alone a professional. We realized that the only thing we could do is be a good listener and to give advice when asked. Otherwise it just pushes them away to the point that they will shut down. We tried reaching out to them on a daily basis, but even that would be recognized by them as someone trying to intrude and be unwelcome. This song was my attempt to give a little light in what can be the darkest of tunnels.
